Goal: Develop a feel for your chipping stroke
What to do:
-This drill can be done in your backyard if needed.
-You will need a partner.
-Pick a club to hit your first chip
-Your chip should carry at least 5 feet.
-Have your partner mark the position the ball first strikes the ground.
-On the same line, hit 9 more chips.
-Each subsequent chip needs to carry slightly longer than the previous chip. If not, start over.
-Your 10th chip must carry no longer than 3 club lengths from the first chip.
Variations:
-Can you do it within 2 club lengths?
-Vary your initial distance.
-Vary the “within distance”
-Vary the club used
-Play to impact or play to roll out
